Shelby's Locks of Love
For those of you who may not have noticed in the second to last slide show of our family, Shelby has a new hairdo. A few weeks ago before school started Shelby decided to donate her beautiful red hair to Locks of Love. She'd been wanting to do it for quite some time now and was so excited to be giving her hair to a foundation that makes real wigs for those with deceases requiring radiation resulting in hair loss. I was so proud of her! She didn't hesitate one bit as the beautician started cutting away her thick hair. When everything was said and done I couldn't believe my eyes...my little girl was not looking so little anymore. I guess that comes with the territory of children growing up...they do grown up things like cut their hair and give it away for the benifit of someone else. Some little girl (or maybe an adult) will be wearing her georgous hair and and feel so lucky to have such a beautiful wig. However, I'm the fortunate one to be the mother of such a giving daughter. Thank you Shelby, you inspire me!
